Wasiu Adedamola Olasunkanmi Akewusola is a distinguished construction professional and retired Permanent Secretary in the Lagos State Public Service with over three decades of leadership and technical expertise in housing, construction management, and public infrastructure development.

A Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (FNIQS) and a Registered Quantity Surveyor (RQS), Mr. Akewusola holds a B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying from Obafemi Awolowo University and an M.Sc. in Building (Construction Management) from the University of Lagos. He also holds a Certificate in Executive Administration from the London School of Business and Finance and is a Member of the Institute of Directors (M.IoD).

Throughout his public service career, he served as Deputy General Manager (Projects) at the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC), General Manager of the Lagos State New Towns Development Authority, and ultimately as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing, where he supervised and delivered several landmark housing estates across Lagos State.

Mr. Akewusola has made significant contributions to professional bodies, including serving as Chairman of the Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (Lagos State Chapter) and Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (Lagos Chapter). He has also represented Nigeria in numerous international conferences and published papers on housing, construction management, and public-private partnerships.
