H.R.M. OBA ABDULWASIU OMOGBOLAHAN LAWAL, Abisogun II, is the 15th Oniru of Iruland. His Royal Majesty is an experienced policy maker. Prior to his enthronement, he had expertise from service to the state at different stages of his career. He was a two-time Commissioner of Agriculture of Lagos State; Commissioner for Housing Lagos State; a two-time Senior Special Assistant [Special Project] to the Lagos State Governor; Aide-de- Camp/Escort Commander to the Governor of Lagos State; and Assistant Superitendent of Police by the Nigerian Police Academy.

He obtained MSc at the University of London; Executive MSc at LSE; and completed executive programmes at Havard, University of Cambridge; Wharton Real Estate Centre –University of Pennsylvania.
