The Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria recently held the inaugural National Conference of its Women’s Wing in Lagos, themed “Motherhood: The Backbone of a Nation’s Success.” The landmark event brought together prominent figures, including government officials, banking executives, and respected Muslim scholars.

In her keynote address, Alhaja Silifat Febisola Aremu, Amirah of the Lagos Branch of Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria, underscored the central role of mothers in shaping not only families but the future of the nation. She emphasized that women are deeply rooted in a legacy of Quranic teachings and prophetic traditions that elevate and honor motherhood.

“We are here to recognize the vital role mothers play in shaping the future of our communities and our nation,” she said. “Let us support one another, rise above challenges, and reaffirm to the world what it means to be strong, proud, and compassionate Muslim mothers.”

The conference served as a platform for Ansarul women from across Nigeria to network, deliberate on community development, and discuss strategies for innovation, growth, and institutional strengthening.
